In 2000, the future founders of Transnetyx, Bob Bean and Tim Hodge, asked a really good question, “Why can’t we automate genotyping?”
Four years later, Transnetyx was born to answer the question by launching the world’s first fully automated genotyping system for transgenic, knockout, and knock-in mouse lines. Later it added lines for zebrafish, rabbits, ferrets, goats, and rats. The mission of Transnetyx then and now is to help scientists accelerate research with fast, easy, and accurate real-time PCR genotyping.
Fast forward 11 years and Transetyx has genotyped more than 10 million samples in 24 or 72 hours with 99.97% accuracy. It’s also built an inventory of more than 15,000 assays and more than 7,500 MGI and JAX lines.
Today Transnetyx is the trusted automated genotyping resource for thousands of researchers in universities, hospitals, and bioscience companies around the world.
